No pinks....................

Dia Duit, last month when Mum came with me to the specialist in Melbourne......Mum put the hard word on me to make a tablecloth for her dining room table.......with a specific request of no pinks......grin.....
I really struggled with her request.....initially I had drafted a cloth with the rail fence pattern.....Mum threw a spanner in the works.....with the above panel fabric..... we were unable to match the background blue......Mum was stubborn......I chose the two pinks...........as what blues were around ...just did not cut it.....eventually Mum agreed....tonight I hope to stitch the binding on.....I have two 12 inch Minis too quilt and bind......more on them down the track......
the other night I was tired of reading......and set to make 8 Blankets of Love....from my basket stash.....pleased to say ..they are stitched....now.....Ness has them too quilt.....
lo and behold...when we went away for the long weekend....DH and I caught up with little sister and Mum.....we had lunch at Rutherglen....to my absolute delight....I found a new patchwork shop there.....I was drawn to the classroom....to see the different quilts....I noticed Mum was in the corner......yes we found the blues she originally wanted for her tablecloth......I had torn up the draft of the first cloth....hard to judge the fabric requirement..........hopefully......what I do......will be approved by Mum......grin......

You did a nice job with the panel and the quilting looks great too!!! Love those blues you found, sounds as though you are keeping yourself very busy in the sewing room these days! I'm sure your Mum will approve LOL!!!!

I'm not much into pinks either, but that's just lovely! :0)
