Dia Duit, I would love to share with you, my wedding anniversary gift, that DH had chosen for me.
On one our many journeys to Melbourne for the pain specialist or neurosurgon, there is little time to digress from these appointments. I had a yen to visit Lucello, to see the new Etui's. Kim had featured the big sister version,on her blog.DH relented, and we made a quick dash to the store. The Etui featured was on the counter. I loved it. There is a smaller Etui version, just as beautiful, but I was drawn to the sample. The lid is made in beautiful 19th C French Fabric and French General for the rest of the sewing box.Inside, a delightful range of accoutrements. When we travelled to England and Europe, I managed to find some antique sewing items.Yohanna, said there was one piece left of the 19th C French Fabric , which would be enough, for the lid.To my delight when I received my gift, inside were two Fabric Sample Cards.
I set aside yesterday morning for some sewing. I wanted to make a memory quilt of our trip to the States. However, while I was at our LPS, I noticed the same French General fabric as the etui.I made my purchase, to make a cover for my sewing machine and a non slip mat. I opted for the simple design. I hoped you enjoyed seeing the Etui. You will notice the small bear on the Etui, his name is Digby, when I went to the local Habadash Store for the ribbon, there were six little bears sitting there. I am not really a bear person, have the odd one, but there was something about Digby. I said to the lass, looks like Digby is coming home with me...grin...
